Simplifly -Junior is a tailor made hands-on workshop for students to explore the fun and joy of building things that fly. Come explore and learn Aeromodelling, Build a variety of Gliders and Take away your planes to show your friends.

Introduction to Aeromodelling
- Discuss Goals of Workshop
- A brief introduction about modelling Aeroplanes -Static and Flying models
- Explore different categories - Free Flight, Powered Free Flight, Control Line and Radio-Control Flying
- Materials in Aeromodelling

Session 2 - 10.00 - 10.30 hrs
An Introduction to Flight
- What Makes Planes Fly?
- Overview of Flight Control Surfaces
- The Four Basic Forces of Flight
- Basic Terminologies
- How Planes can Maneuver

Session 3 - 10.30 - 11.00 hrs
An Introduction to Gliders
- What are Gliders? How do they Glide?
- Understanding the Wing and its Importance
- Types of Wing Construction
- Basic Glider Design - What goes where?
- Assignment Discussion - Glider Design with Guidelines and Constraints

Session 4 - 11.00 - 13.00 hrs
Construction of Balsa/Foam Glider
- Sanding & Smoothing Techniques
- Putting it all together
- Fly the Gliders
